For more than thirty years, I worked in the corporate world, designing, building, and shaping ideas for others. Design was always a part of my life. But at some point, I paused and asked myself a simple question. What is it that I truly love?

The answer was already there.

I have always been drawn to handmade textiles. The patience in the hands that create it, the techniques quietly passed from one generation to the next, and the stories living within every thread. These handwoven works carry something deeply human. They hold time, care, and identity. They embody the lives of the people who create them.

As I reflected on this, another question began to take shape. How could I help preserve this handmade work that I love? How could I build something driven by purpose, that keeps these traditions alive, while allowing others to see what I see in them?

Lorena Morales Studio grew from these questions.

Contemporary garments became a way to bring these textiles into everyday life. Not just to be worn, but to be understood, and to create a bridge between the people who make them and the people who experience them.

When you truly see what lives within these threads, it’s hard not to fall in love.
